Kashmiri Muslim School Teachers Suspended by Indian government for not Hoisting Indian Flag

On 20th August, nine Kashmiri school-teachers were suspended by the Indian state for not hoisting an Indian flag in their schools. Around 8 of these 9 suspended teachers were Muslims. The suspension comes following the Indian state’s campaign of enforcing the hoisting of the Indian flag over every household, school, and workplace in Kashmir.[16]
