India Constructs Settlements for Hindu Migrant Employees:
On 20th July, the Government of India approved construction of 6,000 accommodations for Hindu migrant employees working in the disputed territory. The accommodations would be in the form of separate and militarized settlements. After the year 2010, around 3,800 Brahmins have shifted to the valley and lived in such settlements, working in different government sectors. They have not come to Kashmir as neighbors of the local Muslims but as settlers. 8,565 hectares of land has been allotted for such colonies and institutions to support them.
