Health of Kashmiri female political prisoner Sofi Fehmeeda deteriorating rapidly

On November 28th, the family members of Kashmiri female political prisoner Sofi Fehmeeda informed us that she has been bedridden for weeks. She cannot move without a wheelchair. Prison doctors have recommended her to undergo urgent back surgery. Despite her critical state of health, she has not been shifted to any hospital. She is being denied right to healthcare, a tactic India has used to systematically murder ailing Kashmiri political prisoners in jails. Fehmeeda is in her 30s and has been in prison for the last 5 years for advocating Kashmir’s right to self-determination.^[17]
