He was a champion for human rights and a stalwart for justice. He passed away at the age of 92 while under house arrest. He spent the last years of his life being punished for being a staunch and vocal advocate for the rights of the Kashmiri people. Geelani’s courage, impressive career and mission will be an illustrious example to guide future generations.
